Because many Atlas users are minors, every feature involving direct interaction — accounts, messaging, mentorship, and community submissions — is designed around the following principles:

Atlas tracks aggregated, anonymized analytics to understand which resources are helping students — most-used resources, search terms, popular subjects, and general geographic reach. This data is not tied to an individual student's identity where accounts are not in use, and analytics are configured to minimize collection of children's personal information.
